been selling raffle tickets for the artwork for the past several months.
Connie’s husband had purchased some raffle tickets for her at the recent
International Lighthouse Across the Border Lighthouse Challenge that was
held on August 9 in Lubec and Cutler Maine and Campobello Island Canada. She
said she couldn’t believe the phone call when she was notified that she had
won, saying, “This is so exciting, I’ve never won anything in my life!”
The framed artwork is a pen and ink depiction of Little River Lighthouse
created in the style of pointillism and is hand-done by dots, rather than
drawn by sketch. As an extra bonus, included with the framed artwork was the
original pointillism pen that was used to make the artwork and a copy of
Peterson’s book, “Adventures and Reflections of a Artist.”
Prints of the original, which are hand signed and numbered by Peterson and
ready for framing, are available from the Friends of Little River
Lighthouse, a chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation, for $10.00 each
plus $5.00 shipping, by mail at P.O. Box 671, East Machias, ME 04630 or by
calling them at 207-259-3833.
