On Saturday, December 9, the Flying Santa arrived at
Pemaquid Point in Maine. It is a long-standing tradition for Santa to
fly over the coastal lighthouses of Maine and deliver gifts to the
lighthouse families. This year we had one of the largest turnouts ever
from the families and neighbors of Pemaquid Park. Santa now lands in a
helicopter and delivers gifts and candy to the children thanks to the
efforts of the Friends of Flying Santa, who work to keep the tradition
burning bright.
After Santa passed out gifts to the children, parents and
children alike gathered with him at the helicopter for a wonderful group
