There is a Bay name of ‘ganset

For all ships that do go,

Through ‘stricted channel, to and fro,

And…all captains to know,

Pomham Light stands to enhance it.

Poem composed by Don Doucette, Acting Chairman of the Friends of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse, on October 9, 2005. Don explains…“I lay awake unable to sleep and this passed through my mind, so…I arose to compose. And…long may Pomham Light stand. Keep the faith!”
