The
lighthouse tower is open for visitors to tour the first & third Saturday
of each month June-October from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Please
stop by the lighthouse and bring your camera. There is even a Gift Shop! All
proceeds benefit Race Point Lighthouse.
Portsmouth Harbor Lights - New Castle, NH
Visitors
are invited to climb to the top of the tower to get a magnificent view of
Portsmouth Harbor
and the surrounding area, as well as a close-up look at the active fourth
order Fresnel lens.

Portsmouth Harbor Light

from late May till mid October from 1PM - 5PM.
There is a suggested donation of $4 for adults and $2
for children. Flat shoes are strongly recommended. Children under 42
inches tall are not permitted to climb to the top,
and adults are not permitted to carry children up the stairs.
Wood Island Lighthouse - Biddeford Pool, ME
Wood Island Lighthouse tours take place in July
and August each year
The
tours leave from Vines Landing in Biddeford Pool aboard the Friends of Wood
Island Lighthouse boat Light Runner, a compact, flat bottom boat which will accommodate
about 18 visitors.

Tours take place each week during July & August. Days &
Times:
Wednesdays: 4:30 pm & 5:30 pm
Thursdays: 5:00 pm & 6:00 pm
Saturdays: 1:00 pm & 2:00 pm
The
tours take about 1 1/2 hours which includes a cruise to and from the island
and about a half mile walk on a raised
wooden boardwalk to the lighthouse itself. The tour is led by a guide who
tells visitors about the history of Wood Island, its inhabitants, the keeper
families, the beacon itself and much more. Visitors tour the inside of
the dwelling house, the oil house, grounds and have the opportunity to climb
the tower itself.
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse - Pemaquid, ME

Lighthouse chapter open the tower at Pemaquid Point Light Station.

Please note: the
tower may be closed for climbing on rainy days. There is no charge to
climb the tower but donations are appreciated and help fund the ongoing
care of this historic lighthouse.

Pemaquid Point Light
Pemaquid Point, ME
Pemaquid
Point Lighthouse tower is licensed to the American Lighthouse Foundation
by the U.S. Coast Guard and is located on the grounds of Lighthouse Park, which is
managed by the Town of Bristol. Please note, there is an admission charge to
the park. The keeper's house is home to the
Fishermen's Museum, which is run by town volunteers. The Fisherman's Museum and
the park grounds are not managed by the American Lighthouse Foundation or
Friends of Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, but our volunteers do work closely together.
Owls Head Lighthouse - Owls Head, ME
Owls Head Lighthouse is open to the public for tours by
volunteers from ALF's Friends of Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse chapter
from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.
Tour Dates:
2010 - Owls Head Lighthouse is currently
under restoration and will open for tours in mid-July. Please check back
for schedule.

quarters and tower.

Little River Lighthouse - Cutler, ME
Little River Lighthouse offers overnight stays in the
newly restored keeper's house located on a beautiful Downeast Maine
island.

During these events, the public has the opportunity to visit and view the lighthouse
and enjoy the restoration work that has been accomplished.
Friends of Little River Lighthouse will provide
boat transportation
to the island from Cutler Harbor. Refreshments will be available and souvenirs for
sale.
No reservations necessary, simply meet us
at the public boat ramp in Cutler Maine.
Open houses are completely weather dependent. Events will be cancelled for
high winds, fog, strong rain, or rough seas.
