May 16,17 & 18, 2008...ALF Spring Spectacular 2008! Join the American Lighthouse Foundation for our big event of the year. Take a part in or just enjoy the fun during our first "Lighthouse Trivia Challenge", then cruise aboard the M/V Thomas Laighton from Portsmouth, NH to see 5 lighthouses including Maine's Boon Island and Nubble Light. Topping off the weekend will be our Annual Dinner featuring guest speaker Chris Mills who is an author and former lighthouse keeper! June 8 -14, 2008...Schooner Mary Day Benefit Cruise

Join the Schooner Mary Day for a most unique lighthouse tour under sail aboard the Maine windjammer. Proceeds from this special 6 day cruise will benefit both the American Lighthouse Foundation and the Maine Lighthouse Museum. Click here for more information!

 

June 20, 2008...Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse Sunset Cruise Join the Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, a chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation aboard the M/V Granite State from 7-9pm, departing from Rye Harbor, NH on Route 1A in Rye, NH. The boat will cruise close to Portsmouth Harbor Light, Whaleback Light, the Wood Island Lifesaving Station, and White Island Light in the Isles of Shoals. There is a snack bar on board and there will be raffles and narration on the history of the lighthouses. Tickets are $20. Call Granite State Whale Watch at (603) 964-5545 for reservations.

 

June 27, 2008...ALF Penobscot Bay Sunset Lighthouse Cruise Rockland, Maine! The American Lighthouse Foundation will be sponsoring a 2.5 hour sunset lighthouse cruise leaving from Rockland Maine. Along the way we will see Curtis Island, Indian Island, Rockland Breakwater and Owls Head Light as we travel along some of mid-coast Maine's beautiful coastline, ...while your in town, don't miss the opportunity to visit America's largest collection of lighthouse artifacts at the Maine Lighthouse Museum! July 20, 2008...ALF Bar Harbor Lighthouse Cruise! Join the American Lighthouse Foundation for a fun and educational cruise along the rugged Downeast Maine coast. All proceeds benefit the foundation's lighthouse preservation efforts. This cruise aboard the Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company's vessel Bay King III will pass close to 10 lighthouses, including some that are rarely seen. August 16, 2008...Five Lighthouse Cruise from Rye, New Hampshire!
