Pennsylvania now has an official lighthouse license
plate, available to all residents in the state, with an image of the
Presque Isle Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located on the shores of
Lake Erie at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA.

Since the introduction of the plate in October of 2006, 606 plates have been
processed. The cost of the plate is $39.50 and is available to any
Pennsylvania resident with a current vehicle registration. Collectors can
purchase a 0000 sample plate for the same price plus shipping.
To obtain an application simply call the Presque Isle Partnership at
814-838-5138 Ext #3 and leave your name and complete mailing address or go

and instructions.
Each application must be returned for processing to: Presque Isle
Partnership Specialty Plate, 302 Peninsula Drive, Erie, PA 16505. The

delivery date is approximately 6-8 weeks. The lighthouse
plate will be sent directly from Penn DOT to each applicant.
From each sale, $15.50 goes towards the preservation of
the Presque Isle Lighthouse, listed on the National Register of Historic
Places and for the promotion of maritime
