A Downeast Maine Treasure…

Located on a 15-acre island in Cutler, Maine, Little River Lighthouse is the quintessential Maine island lighthouse experience.
ALF’s Little River Lighthouse volunteers coordinate special Open Houses, in addition to the site’s overnight stay program during the summer season, so that the general public can have the opportunity to visit and enjoy the island light station. Boat transportation to the island from Cutler Harbor is available during open house events.
Upon arrival at the island you will take a beautiful, quarter-mile walk across a tree-lined, wooden plank walkway to the lighthouse overlooking the Gulf of Maine. Enjoy a tour of the lighthouse and grounds. Don’t miss the souvenirs available for purchase while you are there, which help support the ongoing care of Little River Lighthouse!
